To date, some 60 artists have displayed work at Walkern Gallery and we usually have at least 200 individual works of art on show at any one time. A keen landscape painter, in 2002 Stephen moved to the conservation area of Walkern, in Hertfordshire, to enjoy the inspiration of local scenery and to open his studio and gallery.

Trevor Chamberlain was born in Hertford, the son of a painter and decorator. He began painting at the age of seven and at twelve he enrolled at Ware Evening Institute in painting classes but essentially he taught himself to paint.

Carol has a background in interior design and started painting about 20 years ago. Citiscapes are her favourite subjects; Paris, London, Venice and especially New York. She loves the energy and buzz of the city.

Maria-Luisa initially trained as a Graphic Designer at Fairfield School of Art Croydon London, studying Photography, Life Drawing, Painting, Graphics and Sculpture and there found her true vocation, Sculpture. She has also completed a course on Life Sculpture at The University of Hertfordshire. Her main interest is the human form and head, bringing character, feeling and texture to her work. She also loves making pots and vases, giving them an Ethnic and Sculptural feel.

Rod studied Illustration and Graphic Design at St Martin’s School of Art following a foundation at Colchester School of Art.
Following a successful career as a freelance photographer he returned to painting and printmaking about 10 years ago.
